  • UNDIVIDE US

America is at a crossroads where politicians, news media, and social media fan the flames of toxic partisanship that have led many Americans to question whether they can trust their fellow citizens.

UNDIVIDE US challenges the idea that citizens who disagree are not capable of civil conversation and demonstrates the truth that, even in our differences, the American experiment is still alive and well.

  • THE FIRST STEP

In a divided America, Van Jones attempts to bring bipartisan advocates and politicians together in order to pass a landmark criminal justice bill.

As impact producer, I work with the filmmakers to identify impact campaign strategy, local and national nonprofit partners, and opportunities to share the film via community-led screening events alongside systems-impacted individuals.

To review past community screenings and film press, visit the film’s site below.

  • CAN YOU HEAR US?

The story of teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg. Director Nathan Grossman follows Greta—a shy student with Asperger’s—in her rise to prominence and her galvanizing global impact as she sparks school strikes around the world.

This award-winning impact campaign focused on uplifting local youth climate action efforts and intergenerational allyship in the climate movement. It thoughtfully aimed at elevating the intersectionality and accessibility of climate organizing.

  • LIFE & LIFE

Life & Life shares the redemption story of musician Reggie Austin as he tries to rebuild his life after serving 35 years in prison.

Through a detailed outreach & engagement campaign, I conducted targeted research and established meaningful partnerships with issue-focused nonprofits and advocacy groups.

  • NEW AMERICAN STORIES OF US

Creating New American Stories of Us is an event series that explores entertainment’s potential to strengthen America’s social fabric and create a shared sense of “us” as Americans.

In collaboration with Bridge Entertainment Labs and USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future, I helped organize an in-person event (Can Storytellers Save America? Urgency, Hope, & the Path Forward) serving storytellers, academics, and cultural strategists who are interested in bridging America’s divides through storytelling and film.

  • SIE Society

As Head of Community Engagement + Outreach, I’ve produced many virtual events for our social impact entertainment community.

Some of these include: ‘Alternate Ways of Financing (your Social Impact Content),’ ‘Impact Measurement & Assessment: How Do you Know It’s Really Working?,’ and ‘Building Impact for Business & Entertainment.’ Through these events, I manage potential partnerships, programming strategy and graphic design/social media support.

I also manage communications between the community and our partner and allied organizations.

  • FEELING THROUGH PREMIERE

During my time at UCLA’s Skoll Center for Social Impact Entertainment, I produced a fully-accessible premiere screening of the Oscar-nominated short “Feeling Through” for 100+ members of LA's DeafBlind community.

To meet our goal of educating our audience on the importance of accessibility of inclusion on and off the screen, we connected the DeafBlind community members with UCLA students, entertainment industry professionals, and the public, so they could share their own experiences.

Our accessibility features included: 35 ASL and tactile interpreters, 9 audio descriptive devices, 1 interpretation light-box, and open captioning.

Watch a recap of this special premiere below!

  • HOLLYWOOD CLIMATE SUMMIT

As Associate Producer, I programmed the "Documenting the Climate Crisis" workshop at the inaugural 2020 Hollywood Digital Climate Summit.

The panel focused on how documentary filmmakers can inspire change and successfully influence climate policy through their stories and accompanying campaigns.

  • A BAND OF VOTERS

A Band of Voters is a multi-cultural, multi-generational collective of activists, artists, filmmakers and student leaders. In 2020 they received a grant to host a virtual event on civic engagement and voter education for the intended audience of BIPOC students.

Ahead of the 2020 Presidential Election, I worked with Young Entertainment Activists to digitally produce this youth-focused event, while providing assistance in outreach, engagement, social media and project management.
